Baby Due Month Predictor

Find your baby's likely birth month, zodiac sign, and general seasonal considerations.

About this calculator

Enter your last menstrual period or due date to see your baby's likely birth month, their zodiac sign based on that month, and general seasonal notes (weather, illness season, holiday logistics) worth thinking about ahead of time. This tool intentionally doesn't cite specific birth-rate statistics by month, since we don't have a way to verify current official figures. The seasonal notes are general planning considerations, not statistics.

Because only a small share of babies arrive on their exact due date, a due date near the start or end of a month can easily mean a birth in the neighboring month. If your due date falls within about a week of a month boundary, it's worth planning for either one, and the same goes for the zodiac sign if that's something your family enjoys.

The seasonal notes are about logistics more than anything else: a winter baby might mean planning around snow and cold and flu season for hospital visits and newborn outings, while a summer baby might mean thinking about heat in late pregnancy. Holiday due dates can affect travel plans for family and the availability of help at home.

Frequently asked questions

Why no birth statistics by month?
Precise birth-rate figures change year to year and by country, and citing a specific number without a live, verifiable source risks presenting stale or wrong data as fact. General seasonal considerations (weather, illness season, holidays) are stable and useful regardless of the exact year.
How is the zodiac sign determined?
From the standard Western zodiac date ranges based on your baby's predicted birth month and the midpoint of that month, since the actual birth date can shift by a couple of weeks either way, treat the sign as a fun estimate, not a certainty.
